AMPK(AMP-activated protein kinase)는 세포의 energy sensor 역할을 하는 kinase다. ATP가 부족하고 AMP/ADP가 늘어나는 에너지 스트레스 상태에서 활성화되어, 에너지 생산을 늘리고 에너지 소비성 합성을 줄이는 방향으로 대사를 재조정한다.
